Adding a phone number
Required for selling — verifies your identity for buyers and payouts.
Adding a phone number
If you signed up with Google or Apple, you don't have a phone number on file yet. That's fine for browsing and buying. But if you want to open a shop, list a service, or post solo listings, you'll need to add and verify a phone number first.
Why we require it for sellers
- Trust — buyers contact you via WhatsApp on this number
- Payouts — your MoMo payout typically goes to a phone you've already verified
- Disputes — we can reach you if a buyer raises a case
How to add one
When you tap Start Selling, we'll prompt you to verify if you haven't yet. The flow is the same as the registration flow:
- Type your phone number
- Send the code shown to our WhatsApp bot
- Your phone is verified and linked to your account
If WhatsApp doesn't work, an SMS fallback appears after a few seconds.
